The new 3-story tall, 34,000 sf building on the Santa Monica College Media and Technology campus will provide KCRW a state-of-the-art production, editing, and performance facilities to support that content as well as the creative and collaborative office space that will become KCRW’s new home. The building is projected to be LEED Silver certified.

KCRW has retained NCA Studio to be their representative and advocate in the college’s building and campus construction. NCA is charged with representing KCRW’s needs during construction, monitoring the building progress, tracking budgets, identifying issues and then recommending solutions as they arise. As part of this process, NCA Studio coordinates with extensive consultant teams, construction managers, architects, college staff and contractors to ensure these developments are in sync with the building construction and in line with client expectations.

NCA Studio is simultaneously managing updates to the office and studio design that will ensure the building is current with the broadcast industry’s evolving needs. As such, NCA Studio manages the broadcast systems design and implementation, integration of video into the broadcast spaces and updating the offices to accommodate a growing staff and changing workstyles.
