Through a series of invitation-only events, Summit fosters a global community of entrepreneurs, athletes, scientists, artists, non-profit founders, musicians, astronauts, authors, chefs, engineers, explorers, magicians, monks, painters, philanthropists, and thought leaders. The guests, events and location must perfectly come together in order to attract this exclusive list of guests and maintain the energy and excitement that brings the guests and speakers come back year after year.

When Summit Series selected Downtown Los Angeles as the location for their 2017 Summit Series event, they teamed up with NCA Studio as their local Architect of Record and liaison to bring this event into reality.

Summit selected a combination of historic icon such as the DTLA Orpheum theater, Los Angeles Theater, Cooper Design Center, and the recently completed Intercontinental Hotel to host the events. These locations worked in unison with large outdoors spaces which were outdoor parking lots that were completely transformed for the weekend into oasis for outdoor dining, lounging, yoga, speaking events and networking.

This multi-faceted event required careful coordination with local leaders, fire department, building department, police departments and public works for the permitting, and careful design coordination to meet local regulations while re-inventing the outdoor spaces into innovative oasis that inspire creativity, innovation and positive collaborations for the 5,000 guests.  The event’s huge success has secured it as the location for Summit Series LA18 where NCA Studio will continue as the Summit Series’s Architect of Record.
