Nicole Cannon began the project as Project Architect with Clive Wilkinson Architects, shepherding the design through its early phases. After opening NCA Studio, she transitioned into the role of KCRW's Project Manager, representing the station's needs throughout construction. This meant navigating an extensive consultant team—broadcast designers, integrators, construction managers, architects, college staff, and contractors—to ensure every detail aligned with KCRW's vision and the realities of building on a college campus.

The building, projected for LEED Silver certification, reflects KCRW's commitment to sustainability and innovation. It's a place built for the kind of creative work that connects communities and shapes culture—architecture in service of the conversations that matter.
